Toward the end of June, I had the pleasure of photographing Daria and Anthony’s wedding in New Jersey. (You may remember this adorable photo series from their cake cutting, that I posted earlier.)
Shooting Daria and Anthony’s wedding was such a blast for me. Anthony is this animated and hilariously funny guy, and Daria is terrifically sweet and easy going. They balance each other so well, and are such an endearing couple. And as if that wasn’t enough, they had Star Wars music as part of their ceremony, and the best man was rocking Star Trek cuff links. Needless to say, we all got along famously.
The wedding took place at the lovely Lambertville House Hotel in the charming town of Lambertville, New Jersey. (If you’re looking for a historic location outside of Philly, this is a place you’ll want to check out.) The town itself offered a ton of options photo wise, and the staff at the Lambertville House Hotel were just top notch. These folks are professional, courteous, helpful, and on the ball.
The reception was also at the Lambertville House Hotel, in their ’1812 Room’. Daria and Anthony put together one of the cutest things for place settings: old fashioned keys tied to name tags. Each key was a little different, and they were all hung on this homemade peg board, which was set up during cocktail hour. It went perfectly with the historic vibe of the hotel and town.
I do hope you’ll enjoy looking at these photos. It was so much fun to take them.
(Edit: Warning, there are a LOT of images here, and it will take a long time to load)
“Fancy meeting you here!”
This is part of a Russian marriage tradition, where the bride and groom try to see who can take the biggest bite. The ‘winner’ is the ‘head of the family.’ That’s Daria’s lovely parents presenting the bread.
I don’t know if there was ever a consensus on who took the biggest bite! Both are impressive!
The groom and the best man…
This is probably the coolest ‘Maid-of-Honor’ shot that I’ll ever take. Joanna is a rock star.
The super adorable place settings!
The first dance!
Then the Father/Daughter dance…
And the Mother/Son dance…
Every wedding is more fun with bubbles. At least that’s my professional opinion.
And of course, that epic cake cutting series…
Thanks again to Daria and Anthony, for making pix|elation photography part of their special day; to Joey DeMarco for backing me up as the second shooter, and to the staff of the Lambertville House Hotel for going above and beyond to make this wedding a little extra special.
